I know that I taunted you with a look at my hometown bridal shower. Tonight, I'm offering you no more than another taunt, with a small look at the lovely favors my mom made all of the guests.
A collection of yummy teas is packed in a faux cut glass candy dish and wrapped with a silver bow and demitasse spoon. The perfect take away for our high afternoon tea.
To make up for my lack of reporting and gift opening pictures, I'm giving away the very favor pictured!
To enter, please leave a comment below with your favorite tea time edible! The contest will open until Thursday at 7:00 pm EST. The winner will be announced on Friday morning. One entry per person please.

Hello Melinda! I live in Oklahoma where tonight it is rather chilly! I'm actually going to make myself some herbal tea before retiring for the evening. My favorite tea time edible are tea cakes. These are simple and dainty old fashioned cookies.
1 c. sugar (plus a little extra to sprinkle over hot tea cakes)
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/3 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
dash salt
1/6 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla
foil lined cookie sheets
Preheat oven 325 degrees
Cream butter and sugar in Kitchen Aid. Then in separate bowl mix flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Then add the egg to the Kitchen Aid bowl. Next, add some of the dry mixture, some of the milk and vanilla, back and forth until it is incorporated. Once everything is even, take fingers and form little balls and place on foil lined sheets. Bake for 14 to 15 minutes. Sprinkle sugar on top when they come out hot! Sooo *yummy*
Take Care

i've become partial to those awesome chocolate chip dunkers from trader joes... delish!
What fun favors :o) I'm a sweets kind of gal, so any kind of fruit tart with tea makes for an extra yummy treat

I love shortbread cookies, preferably the ones my friend Etta makes.
Clotted cream with scones and I want them in that order! The more cream, the better!
